I don’t want to use the word normal, because what’s normal, but I haven’t felt like myself in a long time. That includes the way I would eat. When I was younger, I didn’t get these weird cravings, I slept more regularly, and I ate less than I do now. I just started a 2.5mg dose of Zepbound.
After just 3 weeks on Zepbound, I feel normal again. Like, I’m eating about half of what I was eating a month ago. I don’t feel these weird urges. I don’t feel the cravings. And when I do eat, I don’t eat until I’m full.
That last one is hard to explain for me. I used to eat until I felt full. Now, I don’t necessarily feel ‘full’ before I stop eating. I feel like I’m almost full, but don’t feel the need to ‘top it off.’ And it takes a LOT less already for me to feel that ‘almost full’ feeling.
I also eat a lot slower than I ever have before, and this is also a good thing. That feeling of slowing down means I’m tasting more than I did before. That’s another thing I didn’t expect, and it’s another thing I like and appreciate.
I don’t know if this is going to last forever, if this is my new normal, or what, but I appreciate this feeling right now. It’s like a gift I didn’t expect.
